He resides in the Rustworks as a powerful icon, having gathered influence over the low tier of Silica City, with all of his subordinates residing there as well. He makes business through wagers usually involving Meta Runner arms as prizes while also hosting his gameshow, usually surrounding his favorite, Turbo Crash 9. He is an old friend of Sofia Porter because of their previous business dealings in the past, due to her advanced hacking skills. However, he has a distaste for Meta Runners who hail from the upper echelons of the city as seen with his initial dislike of Masa, even more so after realizing that the latter cheated him out of a Meta Runner arm during their match.
AppearanceMarco is a tall, well-built individual with green eyes and full facial hair while having slick, brown hair that is shaved on both sides of his head, revealing tattoos revolving around his ears. Wearing a dark blue shirt with sleeves rolled up at the joints and black gloves on each hand while wearing tight brown pants and a matching belt, with tall dark boots. He wears a large, mechanical pack that holds two custom-built Meta Runner Arms to grant him the ability to hold two controllers at once. The mechanical parts extend to his real arms with metal endoskeletons on each limb and wires going the strap on his chest while another goes directly into the back of his head. PersonalityMarco comes off as a loud and boisterous man who enjoys the thrill of challenges, basking in his victory and influence over the low tier of Silica City, or the "Rustworks". Despite his seemingly arrogant demeanor, Marco admires honesty and hard work and believes that power should be earned, not simply given to someone. This is his main reason for disliking Meta Runners who dwell in the upper echelons of the city, especially TAS Corp. runners due to him believing everything they have is simply due to their rich benefactors, like Lucks, giving them everything on a silver platter and that they don't work for their arms, talent or fame. These beliefs are what led to him creating his own Meta Runner arms from scratch instead of buying them. Also being impartial and fair to any who are able to beat him in a game/bet; giving no special treatment or exceptions to anyone, regardless of if they're from the high tier, low tier, friends or enemies. Although he was reluctant to hold up his end of the deal with giving Masa a new Meta Runner arm due to him believing that the latter did something to cheat, he begrudgingly sticks to his principles and grants him the prize. However, his suspicions were proven correct all along when he learned that Masa did in fact cheat during their match by sabotaging his arms, proving that Marco has a great abhorrence for cheaters and those who attempt to take shortcuts to get what they want, proving that he is indeed fair and doesn't make excuses when things don't go his way.
HistoryIt is stated that in the past he helped Sofia get out of trouble with the rolling cartridge gang as she helped him with the Luminous Gaming hack. It is known that he does cut off Meta Runner arms as to which it is stated by Sofia that she worked under him to cut them off for profit. It is also said that Sofia at one point changed his name legally to Princess HotPants as well too before Marco fixed it.
Season 2In Unreal Engines it is shown that he was cheering for his subordinate to finish the challenger off. Cheering at his side's victory, he makes the losing player give up his meta runner arm despite their insistence that they will be nothing without it. As they drag them off, one of his subordinates tells Sofia to stop right there as to which he turns around. Surprised to see "little miss vigilante hacker" herself in his turf, he asks why she's returned to which Sofia replies that she is in need of cybernetic implants to which he asks what happened to the last one he gave her, until he notices Masa and Lamar being halted by one of the guards and allows them to enter. Sofia introduces Lamar, but Marco finishes by realizing that the rumors about Masa's dismissal from TASCorp. were true, mocking Lucks' "golden boy" for being just another decommissioned Meta Runner slumming it in the low tier, to Masa's annoyance. Despite this, Sofia asks Marco if he's willing to let them wager him to win a new Meta Runner arm for Masa. He agrees if they can come up with an entry fee and Sofia realizes that she isn't owed any favors by him and he explains that he has a reputation to uphold: no exceptions, neither to friends or "superstar celebrities". Lamar tells Marco that if he lets them play, he'll use his own Meta Runner arm as the entry fee, an arm for an arm. Liking the deal, Marco agrees to a co-op deathmatch but on the condition that Masa has to be Lamar's partner and taunts Masa, asking if he can win a game without his gift from "daddy Lucks", to which Masa responds that he could beat Marco with one hand tied behind his back as he pats his shoulder, to which Marco shoves him off without realizing that Masa secretly placed a control bug on his arm. Marco then gets ready as Lamar and Masa warm up and after some time Marco gives an announcement to the Rustworks as he tells the others that he will be playing in the game alongside with the other players to beat Masa and Lamar. After the announcement he starts the game in co-op by himself basically as the game starts. Throughout the game as Masa and Lamar were busy trying to survive Marco was busy farming and looting players that he demolished. This causes his truck to be very packed with armor and weapons. As soon as Masa and Lamar get out of the cave only they and Marco are left as Marco then chases after them mocking Lamar and Masa a bit. He bombards them and tries to ram into them as Lamar and Masa then head to a place where to trap him. Though Marco’s missiles then bust Lamar’s and Masa’s engines. This causes him to get cocky as he comments on how he is going to win as he revs up. However, his arms start to malfunction as he is confused as to what is going on. Masa however capitalizes on this as he then shoots at the chain holding a boulder which drops and demolishes Marco thus causing him to lose the match. Marco is flabbergasted as Masa walks up to him as Masa says good game by placing his hand on Marco’s shoulders to take the bug back. Marco was furious as he shrugs Masa’s arm off as he thinks Masa has cheated as he argues. This causes the others to step in as Sofia said he needs to take it or leave it since these are his rules and no special treatment allowed. He then frustratingly gives Sofia, Lamar, and Masa the winnings and parts to make a new meta runner arm as he just lets them go. As they go however, he then rests as he puts his hands on his shoulder to contemplate about it. While contemplating he makes a face that he may have realized something there. It is unknown what Marco was doing until it is shown that in Fatal Error he shows up as Tari, Lamar, Theo, and Sofia are running away in order to give them a ride apparently. Season 3After a week from the events of Fatal Error, Marco seemingly took Tari, Lamar, Sofia, and Theo into jail cell. As when it was judgement day he was playing Skybreakers demolishing an entire crew to take control of a ship. When he gets a call he makes his way over to the jail cell where he was going to judge Tari and her group. After assessing and conversing with them, he makes a deal with Tari where if she can beat him fairly in a match of Turbo Crash 9 he will let them go. Tari accepts the deal as Marco gives them time to prepare. When it was time to play the game of Turbo Crash 9 and Tari has warped, he seemingly went straight into the match where Lamar just versed him by using two controllers dexterously. Marco complained about not being able to fight fairly as he finally got to angry as he went down to ask what the issue was. After Sofia gave him attitude, Marco reluctantly gives Sofia her laptop back to bring Tari and Theo back out from wherever they were. Presumably when Theo came back out to greet Sofia and Lamar he told them everything though Marco was seemingly reluctant or caring of their plight. So they had to find a way to convince Marco to help them or allow them to help Tari as shown in Skybreakers (Episode). This set their course right to Vagabond's Landing as a result. Before getting to Vagabond's Landing in Dead On Arrival he makes a little detour to raid a ship with his crew. With Lamar, and Theo he more than fights to loot and take out the enemy crew while Tari stayed in the back not being able to do much of anything. Marco was more than teaming up with Lamar and Theo as he more than enjoyed taking out the enemy crew even congratulating Lamar and Theo for getting their loot as they look through the treasure chest. While getting the rewards, Marco more than belittles Tari a bit when she gets a sword taking it from her while giving her a new rifle instead. When she spots Vagabond's Landing they more than go to that area as Marco drops off to that place. While in Vagabond's Landing, Marco takes Tari to a shop so that she could upgrade her gear. When giving her advice Marco gave her lot of snark where Tari finally got angry and annoyed and asked him why he was giving out snark. Marco complained that he hated corporate runners calling them cheaters as he explained that he got and did everything by himself. This made him say that he deserves to look down on Tari because she was a corporate runner. While laughing at Tari he gets shot by Evelyn and while annoyed tries to shoot back but couldn't since Vagabond's Landing was a non-PVP zone. Instead he goes to escape with Tari, as while running Evelyn shoots him again forcing him to go back to his ship. When Marco respawned he expressed a desire to help Tari or rather get vengeance against Evelyn. Howevever, Tari shows up telling Marco and his crew to go back to the ship but before they could do that the ship gets shot down by the Cabin Boy much to Marco's dismay. As he was trapped he more than had to wait until Tari figures out a plan, as when that plan gets executed he goes with Tari to take control of the new ship as he steered it. While steering he gives Tari tips to use her new rifle. Marco's group successfully was able to evade Evelyn as when talking to Tari he was impressed by her skill. So much so that he was willing to let Tari claim the ship though he was impatient with Tari taking time so he told her to hurry up. After Tari names the ship the BlueJay she makes her way to a secluded spot in the game as Marco and the others start fishing for presumably an item that is native to Sheridan's server in Death Warp. After they have found the item Marco's companion presumably fights against Theo a bit as the others were questioning it. However they soon make their way to the dungeon namely Scrapbeard's Fortress as Marco steers his way in expressing discontent at Lamar blasting the dungeon doors open. While making their way through the dungeon they fought their way through a number of enemies avoiding traps along the way as they made it through to the end of the dungeon. At the very end Marco and his group encounters the boss of the Fortress named the Angler. As they were facing the Angler, Marco was to steer the ship to execute Tari's plan to warp out of bounds using a glitch. After getting eaten a number of times Marco and his group finally warps out of bounds executing the glitch. However Lamar was unable to make his way to the ship since Evelyn forcibly warped Lamar to Sheridan's server. Marco concerned told Tari the situation a bit a he more than went to look over to Lamar alongside with Sofia going afk in the game. After a while, Sheridan makes his announcement one of Marco's goons urgently tells him that there was trouble as Marco goes with the goon reluctant at first. However after seeing his runners more than frozen in a warped state his expression more than turned grim as he was concerned. Marco tried to drill out a frozen meta runner's mechanical arm only to receive a shock as he stated that he needed to get Sofia's help. As he came back to where Tari has found the back door to Sheridan's server, he more than greets Tari and Theo warmly. However the reunion was short lived as the BlueJay was bombarded by Evelyn and her newly formed crew. Unable to do anything Marco had to wait as he was outmatched as he sets his sights on Masa until Lamar saved them by blowing up part of their ship knocking Evelyn and her crew relatively off balance. Expressing delight that Lamar has returned Marco alongside with Tari and Theo more than squares up against Evelyn's group. In Overload, as he squares up he more than jumps over to Evelyn's ship disregarding Tari's orders as he goes to face Masa with Lamar backing him up to fight Lucinia. All the while fighting Masa, Marco more than furiously comments how much of a cheater Masa is while beating him as Lamar was telling Marco how Masa is not a horrible person. When Lamar clashed his sword against Masa, Masa shot Lamar in the face demolishing him enraging Marco. He was enraged more when Lucinia shot down Marco's AI companion demolishing it as well as Marco tried to attack but he could not deal with both Lucinia's and Masa's onslaught. In the end Marco got demolished by the two as he furiously throws his keyboard in rage. Marco gets up as he goes to his goons to order them to make their way to Sheridan's lair much to Sofia's dismay. However, as Sofia was worried, Marco told her that he was worried about the others as he needed to take Sheridan out and reassured her that Tari will be able to handle herself. Marco took his leave as he was to make his way to Sheridan's lair to take him down. In The End, just as Sheridan thought he won Marco's group has arrived to Sheridan's lair as he ordered his men to look around. As he kicks down a door he was almost shot by the bullet as his arm blocked the bullet for Marco as he made his way over to disarm and restrain Sheridan. While pinning Sheridan down, Marco comments on how pathetic Sheridan is stating that Lucks at least knew how to throw a punch slamming Sheridan. Sheridan yells how everyone was weak minded stealing his work and he won't let anyone steal or destroy it again to which Marco retorts that he is not going to destroy his work, Sheridan will do that instead. Marco places as many meta bugs onto Sheridan's face as he more than throws Sheridan to the PCs as Sheridan was getting electrocuted to death. After Sheridan dies Marco just exits the room as he orders his men to take everyone and go but not before getting interrupted by Evelyn. He more than was silent as he hardly lifted a finger as Evelyn while being told off by Lucinia bumped into him scared as she was tied to the chair by Lucinia. Masa starts to get to his senses as he more than expresses relief to seeing Belle and Lucinia, though quickly turns serious saying that his outcome for life is determined by Marco. Marco of course just says that Masa beat him fair and square so he spares Masa allowing him to get medical treatment. A week after the cyber-attack, Marco could be seen in his office looking at the news as one of his goons brings in Masa's broken arm asking what to do with it. Going through much deliberation Marco says to store the arm in case that special someone wants a rematch to get his arm back as Marco smiles. Marco appears in the credits playing Skybreakers once more with his little robot sidekick. GalleryTrivia
